Santa Frank has been a working Santa since 1968, when at the tender age of 16, he landed in a helicopter in the parking lot of a department store on Thanksgiving day. Santa Frank quickly became a busy Santa making helicopter arrivals and appearing at Malls and Christmas parades, and visiting Hospitals, Police and Fire stations. After the holidays, in his off-season Santa joined the TARA auxiliary  of the Torrance Police Department and has served over 2000 volunteer hours in that position. He has successfully completed an annual police background check and has received several (non-Santa) Service Merit Citations from the Torrance Police Department along with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the County Board of Supervisors.
